He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Flanders and Dorothy Flanders (Peckover); and his children, Tammy and Patrick D. Flander. He is survived by: his pet Caesar; his son Thomas J. Flander, Jr. (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Danielle Tkacik (Ethan), Jonathan Flander, Alvin Flanders (Sharon Grace), Shamrin and Destiny Flanders.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. John's Reformed Church (68 W Main St, St Johnsville, NY 13452). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge (20 Bridge St, St Johnsville, NY 13452).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom's name may be made to the HC Smith Benefit Club or the Oppenheim Fire Department.
