He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence McCauley and Etta McCauley (Robbins); and his sister Barbara McCauley Shaffer. He is survived by: his wife Kay McCauley; his children, Kathi McCauley, Nancy (Eric Kenney), Jim McCauley (Sloan Tyler), Jack McCauley and Heather Goossen; his siblings, Doug McCauley and Pam McCauley; his brother-in-law Dick Shaffer; his grandchildren, Michele Kenney, Alycia McCauley, Michael (Lexee McCauley), Madison Tyler, Graham McCauley and Payton McCauley; and his great grandchildren, Scottie McCauley and Mara McCauley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home (19 E Broadway, Salem, NY 12865). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church (29 W Broadway, Salem, NY 12865). A reception was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 53 S Main St, Salem, NY 12865.
