He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Knuutila and Vivian Knuutila (Verguson); his wife Linda C. Knuutila (Countryman); his grandsons, Christian Knuutila and Levi Alverson; and his brothers, Ronnie (late Joyce) and Larry (Joyce).

He is survived by: his children, Kristin Knuutila and Jason Knuutila (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Allyson, Matthew, Aaron, Lucas and Jillian; his siblings, Robin Knuutila (Judy) and Carol Ciaschi (late Tony); and his siblings-in-law, Steve Countryman (Cindy) and Nancy Cochrane (Al). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
