She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Newell and Bessie [Norris] Newell; her husband Louis J. Trapasso; and her siblings, Wayne, Nathan, Wilbur, Robert, Betty Newell, Wilma Sea and Luella Walty.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Robert Trapasso (Jean), Gail Reinbird, David Trapasso (Colette), John Trapasso and Lori Pruyn (Lany); her grandchildren, Jason, Jessica McGrath, Jacob, John Reinbird, Nicholas (May), Joshua, Andrew (Gina), Timothy Pruyn, David (Jessica), Patrick Trapasso (Esha), Colette Frantz (Jason), Paul Trapasso (Sara) and Chris Chaka (Dana); and her sister Irene Hill. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Inc. (5893 Hoover Rd, Sanborn, NY 14132-9215). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made on her name to Niagara Hospice.
