He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Janacek and Elsie Sejnoha Janacek; his wife Frieda E. Mead of Boylston; his in-laws, Walter and Charlotte Yerdon Mead; and his siblings, Sylvia (Carl Candel), Raymond Janacek, Merlin (Charles Kaine), Joseph (Geraldine Janacek), Irene (Beryle Greenfield) and Franklin Janacek.
He is survived by: his children, Roxanne (Perry Ferguson), Rod (Kelly Rossa Janacek) and Renee (Shawn Garvin); his great grandchildren, Rachel, Stephen Allen, Amanda, Josh Altoran, Emily Bushie, Shannon, Ben Fisher, Mitchell Garvin and Michael Garvin; his sister Dolores Hall; and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Smith, Eleanor La Celle, Wanda Bishop, Virginia Smith, Herbert Hall, John La Celle and Gregory Bishop. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sandy Creek United Wesleyan Church (6224 N Main St, Sandy Creek, NY 13145). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sandy Creek Cemetery.
