We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2024, at the age of 94, June M. Sherburne of Saranac Lake, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Edmund Lavarnway and Edith Lavarnway (Bertrand); her former life partner Robert B. Stringer of Bernard's Church; her spouse Dale R. "Bud" Sherburne of Potsdam; her sons, Richard Stringer and Lawrence Stringer; and her siblings, Marion Lavarnway and Lawrence Lavarnway.
She is survived by : her daughters, Peggy J. Dora (Richard) of Bloomingdale, Linda Spellman (Arthur) of South Burlington and Nancy Whitson (David) of Vermontville; her daughter-in-law Brenda Stringer of Saranac Lake; her stepchildren, Daniel Sherburne (Laura Callaghan) of North Carolina and Heidi Sherburne of Potsdam; and her siblings, Jean Morgan McDonough of Duanesburg and Robert Lavarnway of Buskirk. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to High Peaks Hospice.
