It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine A. Flanigan of Saugerties, New York, born in Kingston, New York, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Nancy Sweeney Schaffer. She is survived by: her father William "Boo" Schaffer; her husband Michael; her son Ian Flanigan of Nashville, TN.; her siblings, Betsy Weber (Mark) of Wake Forest, NC., Stephen Schaffer (Susan) of Texas and William "Bill" Schaffer (Jennifer) of Texas; and also, Patty Flanigan, Eileen Kilcommons of Saugerties, Kathy and Mike Funk of Saratoga, NY..

Cathy's family suggests donations in Cathy's memory be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
