He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Traver and Mary Fagan Traver; and his sisters, Mary Eileen Traver and Jane Elizabeth Traver. He is survived by: his wife Joan E. Oles; his sons, Daniel Traver of Saugerties and David Traver (Joyce) of Lake Katrine; his grandchildren, Krystal, Jeffrey, Christian and Jonathan; and his great grandchildren, Jasmine, Timmy, Summer and Hudson.

The family suggests donations in his memory to the Alzheimers Foundation or American Heart Association.
