He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Buonfiglio and Mary Vigna Buonfiglio; his siblings, Nick and Rose; and his wife Theresa Anne Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen (Marie Kropp), Mark and Mary Ellen Connell (John); his sister-in-law Margaret Costello; his grandsons, Nicholas Connell (Alyssa), Alex Connell, John Connell and Dominic Buonfiglio; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Aubrey, Michael and Maximus; and his caregivers, Bernadette Judware, McKenzie Ferrara, Rachel Staby and Patrick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Seamon - Wilsey Funeral Service (45 John St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A procession was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 9:45 AM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home (45 John St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (36 Cedar St, Saugerties, NY 12477).
