He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Caporale; his sister Rosemarie Caporale; and his parents, Gennaro Caporale and Helen Salerno Caporale. He is survived by: his children, Robert (Dina) of Naples, FL, Steven (Amelia) of Newtown, CT, Christopher (Christine) of Niskayuna and Michelle Copland (Jordan) of Norwood, NJ.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Family suggests donations in his memory be made to the Ulster County SPCA.
