He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon "Joe" Benjamin and Alice Voerg Benjamin. He is survived by: his daughters, Stacey (Todd Butcher) of Ohio and Rachel (Rick Bingham) of Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Eric Bingham, Sydney and Claudia Butcher.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Esopus Creek Conservancy.
