She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Perks and Jane Perks. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Backus; her children, Samuel Backus and Julia Starkey; her son-in-law Cole Starkey; her granddaughter Penny Starkey; and her brothers, Steven Perks and William Perks.
