He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Dowd; his son David Dowd (Deborah); his granddaughter Kathryn McGrath (Johnny); his great grandchildren, Michael and Tyler McGrath; and his sister Susan Barkley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
