Janet Ward wrote a sympathy message

“My heart is broken at the loss of such a beautiful soul. She was always so sweet to her brother's oh-so-Southern wives (me and his daughters' mom Lucy Keeble), even though she often thought our southernisms (I'm fixing to go to the store, etc.) were hilarious and weird. She adored her family -- the truly wonderful John, her boys and her grandchildren, and her nieces Katharine and Alison, and I grieve for their loss and ours. The picture is of her brother Jack and Kathy.”
