He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Sandberg (Larkin) and Oscar Gustav Sandberg. He is survived by: his sister Annie Sandberg Hisle (John Hisle); his nieces and nephews, Christine Hisle Kenny, Beth Hisle Gorman, Peter Hisle and David Hisle; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sarah, Ken, Katie, Jack, Will, Anna, Sofia and Collins.
Fr. John Stuart Sandberg was born to Josephine (Larkin) Sandberg and Oscar Gustav Sandberg on Sept. 30, 1938, in Mount Vernon, NY. And passed Nov 24, 2025, from complications due to Parkinson's and Metastatic Melanoma.
