It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anthony Schietromo (Schenectady, New York), born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on September 15, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Schietromo and Maria Schietromo (Tambucci); his former wife Susan M. Van Buren (Mimi); and his siblings, Peter Schietromo, Richard Schietromo, Edith Ackerman, Patricia Bush, Violet Perry, Josephine Austin, Anna Spraker and Antonetta Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Edwardsen; his children, Gina Benton (John Nellis), Peter Schietromo, Maria Andriano, Christina Hildreth (Roger) and Theresa Keehan (Randy Douglas); his brother Alfonso Schietromo; and his sister-in-law Olga Schietromo. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, it was Tony's wish that donations be made in his name to his parish, Church of the Immaculate Conception and/or St. Jude.
