She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Smith and Gladys Smith (Vincent); her siblings, Russell E. Smith and Roger Vaugn Smith; and her nephew Douglas Smith.

She is survived by: her brother Lamonte C. Smith; her nieces, Mechelle Smith, Shaunelle Smith, Terry L. Rogers and Tanya D. Smith; and her grandchildren, Benji and Leo. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
