It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Lizzi (Schenectady, New York), born in New York, New York, who passed away on June 3, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Catherine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Catherine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her husband Cosimo Lizzi; and her parents, Joseph Furfaro and Rosina Futia. She is survived by: her son Cosimo Lizzi Jr. of Albany, NY; her grandchildren, Michele Lizzi (Francesca Iemma) of Siderno Italy and Maryjean Ariel Lizzi of Auburn, NY; and her great grandchildren, Claudio Lizzi and Mila Maciulewicz. She is also survived by relatives and friends.

“Ken, Tom, Kathy & Mike Kryzak want to wish our condolences to Coz and his family. Jean was like a favorite aunt to us & the entire neighborhood kids. We will remember Jean and Gus both, with the fondest of childhoods memories. The annual summertime picnics Jean and Gus held for the neighborhood was a marked event in our time growing up. Who of us kids knew at the time, these memories would be etched into our hearts years later. Rest in peace Jean knowing you made a difference in so many lives.”
