He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Bond and Ina Waynwright Bond; and his siblings, Kenneth VanBuren, Marion Carey, Ida Kilburn, Raymond Bond, Walter 'Pete VanBuren, William Bond, Robert Bond and Kathryn 'Kate VanBuren.

He is survived by: his close friend Laurie Preville; his children, Marion Bidinost (Patrick) and Samantha Bond (Prince Lewis); his grandchildren, Justin, Terrance, Alexis and Jalen; and his siblings, Billy VanBuren (Marion), Linda Peek and Brad 'Kodge' VanBuren (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
