It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Byrd Sr. of Schenectady, New York, who passed away on January 29, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Byrd, Sr. and Louise Byrd (Collins); and his son Maximillian Alexander Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Faith Byrd (Jones); his son David Lewis Byrd, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Melissa Byrd (Fossett); his grandchildren, David Lewis Byrd III, Nadia Faith Byrd and Brooklyn Rose Byrd; his siblings, Mary Louise Byrd of Brooklyn, NY, George Edward Byrd, Jr. (Alice) of Westboro, MA and William Maurice Byrd, Sr. of Quincy, MA; his sisters-in-law, Elaine Marshall (Paul) of Crownsville, MD and Renee Palyo-Jones of Studio City, CA; Gladys Perez of Stoughton, MA..

Funeral services will begin at 12 p. m. Social distancing and the wearing of masks are required for those electing to attend in person.

David and I were childhood friends starting at the age of four when I actually lived with them following a house fire at our home in Watervliet.
