She was predeceased by: her parents, Romeo Sutherland and Dorothy Dutton Sutherland; her husband Robert R. Thornton; her daughter Doreen Thornton; and the parents of child, Romeo and Dorothy Dutton Sutherland.
She is survived by: her children, Robert and Donna; her grandchildren, Alex and Delicia; and her great grandchildren, Gabriella and Hunter. She is also survived by siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home (1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, NY 12306). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
