We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2026, at the age of 101, Edith A. Montenaro (Schenectady, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Califano and Antonio Califano; her husband Leo S. Montenaro; and her siblings, Angelo, Jerry Califano, Albert DiJohn, Esther Paludi and Marie Calafano.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Montenaro; her granddaughters, Kate Ruta and Kara Germano; her great grandchildren, Blaise of Rochester, NY., Saige Ruta of Rochester, NY., Ethan of Rochester, NY., Blake of Rochester, NY. and Avery Germano of Rochester, NY.; her brothers-in-law, Stephen and Pasquale Montenaro of Rotterdam; and her nephew Charles Carafano. She is also survived by several nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
