He was predeceased by: his wife Carmella. He is survived by: his sons, Edward Galligan of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Michael Galligan (Nicolle) of Niskayuna.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bond Funeral Home (1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY 12306). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Schenectady Police Benevolent Association.
