He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward G. Kenitz and Dolores M. Kenitz (Boyle); his daughter Eileen Bropson; and his close friend Fred Palma (Veronica "Ronnie" Vitagliano). He is survived by: his children, Edward Philip Kenitz Jr. (Anita Reagan), David Kenitz (Gina), Susan Kenitz and Sharon Tennant; his son-in-law William Bropson; his grandchildren, Dr. Jacqueline Coppola (Paul), Stephanie VanGrinsven (Chris), Alex Szypulski, Sara Kinkaid (Alex) and Nicole Szypulski; and his close friend Angelo Torelli. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home (9 Glenridge Rd, Glenville, NY 12302). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery (2501 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Schenectady, NY 12309).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Edward's memory.
