Eileen O'Bray Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eileen O'Bray in Schenectady, New York, who passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James O'Bray and Helen O'Bray (Carney); her sisters, Cathleen Desai, Jean Ann Quinn and Christine Jones; and her son Tewedros Tamrat.

She is survived by: her husband Tamrat Kebede; her daughter Tigest Tamrat; her brother James O'Bray; and her grandchildren, Biruk and Zende Tamrat-Haughton.

But her greatest contribution to the family has been her exceptional role as the glue that connected all the O'Bray cousins and relatives during her lifetime, a position that will be difficult to replace.
