He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Simone and Gelsomina Simone (Frese). He is survived by: his wife Maria Rosa Ragozzino Simone; his grandchildren, Paba, Anthony Simone, Jr. (Kelly), Matthew Simone (Julia), Aaron Simone, Lia Ellena (Giacomo), Mia Otey (Kennon) and Angelo Simone (Marcy); his great grandchildren, Lorenzo Simone, Penelope Simone, Francesca Simone, Leonardo Otey, Elliana Otey and Giancorrado Ellena; and his brother-in-law Pat Ragozzino (Debbie). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Florindo's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at stjude.org.
