He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Nichols and Marion Nichols (Hane); and his brothers, John Nichols and Gary Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Susan Nichols (Santa Barbara); his sons, Adam Nichols (Allison) and Kevin Nichols (Grace); his grandchildren, Tyler Nichols (Emma), Noah Nichols and Marygrace Nichols; his great grandchild Tucker Nichols; his sister Carolyn-Madeline Duffy (Mike); and his close friend George Gutchell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
