He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrik Haavind and Irene Haavind (Goliber); and his sister Linda Kendall. He is survived by: his wife Paula Haavind; his children, Rik Haavind and Kristen Holbert (Chris); his grandsons, Jacob and Samuel Holbert; and his sisters, Maran Zuliani and Irene "Terry" Huse.
