He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Wittemeyer. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Bowler Wittemeyer; his children, Joshua G. Wittemeyer (Magan) of Ballston Spa and Nicole M. Viscusi (Mark) of Scotia; his stepfather Joseph Furman of Broadalbin; his sister Pamela L. Wittemeyer of Gloversville; his grandchildren, Sadye, Finn Wittemeyer, Marilena and Ethan Viscusi; his stepmother Donna Wittemeyer; his stepbrother David Wait; and his sister Amanda Wittemeyer. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
