He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Walsh and Albert Norris; his wife Mary "Shirley" Maraviglia Norris; his siblings, Harriet Page (Russell) and Alfred Norris; and his son Michael Norris.

He is survived by : his siblings, Raymond Norris, David Norris (Michelle) and Kathy Lokenberg (Ted); his sister-in-law Maureen Norris; his children, Patrick Norris (Deborah) and Darlene Kosakowski; his grandchildren, Richie Norris, Kelly Toro, Tabitha Norris, Crystal Norris, John Kaniff (Theresa), Joshua Norris and Matthew Norris (Adare); his great grandchildren, Isabella, Quinton Jr., Austin, Nevalynn and Olin; and his sister-in-law Mary Jane Norris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cannon Funeral Home (2020 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Herbert's name to the Mohawk Ambulance Service who always provided such great care to Herbert.
