It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Sahr of Schenectady, New York, born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on March 28, 2024, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Demsky and Bryna Demsky (Singlair); and her siblings, Kirk Douglas, Betty Simon, Marion Byck, Kay Goodman, Ruth Greenstein and Fritzi Becker.

She is survived by : her husband Iman "Hy" Sahr; her daughters, Janet Sahr of Boston and Marilyn Gordon (Larry) of Schenectady; her grandchildren, Brian, Debra Gordon, Amy and Todd Urowsky; and her great grandchildren, Aaron, Brooke Gordon, Stacy Gordon, Jake and Tyler Urowsky.
