It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Sheedy (Schenectady, New York), who passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Sheedy and Nicolina Stimpson; and his brothers, Joseph J. Sheedy and Michael J. Sheedy. He is survived by: his siblings, Paul J. Sheedy and Sandra M. Sheedy; his stepfather Rev. Peter Stimpson (Lauren Stimpson); his daughters, Lindsey Shultes (Wayne Shultes) and Meredith Pellegrine (John Pellegrine); his former wife Ellen Sheedy; and his grandchildren, Cadence Shultes, Harley Shultes, Lincoln Pellegrine and Kelsey Pellegrine. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
