She was predeceased by: her parents, George E. Smith, Sr. and Lydia Glock Smith; her husband Philip Hawkes; and her siblings, George, Robert, Henry Smith and Katherine Thompson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Holly Hawkes (Rich Vertigan) of Burnt Hills and Susan Hawkes-Teeter (Phil) of Berne; and her grandson Martin Hawkes-Teeter of Albany. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
