Margrette E. Strait Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margrette E. Strait of Schenectady, New York, born in Exmore, Virginia, who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Margrette leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles P. Voyles and Virginia Lee (Jones); and her daughter Donna Strait. She is survived by: her husband Donald; her children, Janice Argyle and David L. Strait; and her siblings, Charles K. Voyles (Esther) and Mary Furches (Brian). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2150 Central Ave, Schenectady, NY 12304).
