He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hamlin and Rose Hamlin (Nozny). He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Nichols Burns; his children, Marguerite Paludi (Ronald), Ellen Norton (Stanley), Alice Capper (Ian), Suzanne Heilbron, Robert Burns (Christine), David Burns (Andrea) and Mark Burns; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Allison, Dan, Stephen, Kristi, Lindsey, Meghan, Trish, Heather, Amy, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Chris, Breanna, Mya and Benicio; and his great grandchildren, Makenna, Vienna, Evelina, Samba, Addison Jane, Eddie, Jeremy, Ryan, Madalynn, Samantha and Jude.
