Rosemary A. Baer Obituary

Rosemary A. Baer, 64, passed away September 1, 2021 after a long battle with dementia.
Born February 16, 1957, in Troy, NY, Rosemary graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1975 and soon thereafter opened and operated her beauty salon "Hairways, Inc." in Troy. In 2015, she moved to Northern Virginia to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She returned to the Capital Region in 2019.
Rosemary cherished spending time with loved ones and devoted her life to her three children. She was a truly exceptional mother who worked tirelessly to provide the best upbringing and life for her children. Rosemary enjoyed traveling to the beach with her kids, making people laugh, and chatting with her clients and other lifelong friends. She loved dancing to hip hop music and livening the room with her fun-loving spirit. In her later years, her most treasured role was that of grandmother, and she loved nothing more than making her granddaughters laugh and smile.
Rosemary is survived by son Matthew Baer; daughter Vanessa Baer and her husband Ben Tecmire; daughter Andrea Baer and her husband Jorge Pelaez; father Salvatore Piazza; sisters Veronica Nostramo, Maria (Dennis) Moore, and Lisa Piazza; granddaughters Alana and Eve Tecmire; and her nieces and their families. Rosemary is also survived by her close friend of 45 years, Margaret Fitzgerald. She is predeceased by mother Gloria Piazza and brother-in-law Phil Nostramo.
Her children will share plans for a Celebration of Life ceremony at a future date.
