We are sad to announce that, on May 22, 2026, at the age of 86, Sarah C. Ketchum (Schenectady, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Sarah is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Sarah's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Hedges Cook, Jr. and Edith Cook (O'Neill). She is survived by: her husband Thomas J. Ketchum, Jr.; her children, Judith Jacobson Reed (Terry) of Altamont, NY, Janice Jacobson of Altamont, NY, Daniel Jacobson (Carrie) of Altamont, NY and Michael Jacobson (Michele) of Altamont, NY; her stepson Daniel Ketchum (Susan) of Rotterdam; and her brother Daniel Cook (late Ann Sheila Bayly) of Jacksonville, FL.. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
