He was predeceased by: his sister Susan Walters (Robert). He is survived by: his significant other Louise; his son Christopher Staples (Lori); his grandchildren, Peyton and Brantly; his niece Laura Stephenson (Josh, family: Heather Walters); and his brother Robert Florance (Susan) of South Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home (1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, NY 12306). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
