She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mathias and Mildred Mathias of Schenectady, NY.; her husband James C. Stekeur Sr.; her daughter Joyce Weldon; her sister Charlotte Schaperjahn; and her son-in-law Patrick DeLorenzo.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra DeLorenzo of Guilderland, James Stekeur Jr. (Sylvia) of Burnt Hills and Susan Wright (Jerry) of Voorheesville; and her grandchildren, Christopher Stekeur (Brittany), Craig Stekeur (Cliff Hoppus), Kyle DeLorenzo, Eric DeLorenzo (Leslie), Courtney Piernock (Mike), Caitlyn Stekeur (Frankie), Lea Wright (Nick Mashuta) and Abbi Raghubar (Nicholas).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bond Funeral Home (1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY 12306). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to one of her favorite charities: City Mission of Schenectady or Community Hospice.
