We announce the death of Marilyn R. Foland of Schoharie, New York, born in Cohoes, New York, who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 94. Marilyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Leo; and her grandson Leo Foland. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Schoenecker of Schoharie, Leo N. Foland (Lois) of Sharon Springs, Diana, Carl V. Foland (Linda) of Schoharie and Leslie J. Foland (Pam) of Schoharie; her grandchildren, Mary Lou Bills, Nicholas Schoenecker, Michael Largeteau, Matthew Schoenecker, Lacey Walsh, Ashley Foland, Colby Foland and Sydney Foland; and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Mackenzie, Kayleigh, Blake, Ryker, Henry, Wyatt and Koal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Langan Funeral Home (327 Main St, Schoharie, NY 12157). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Old Stone Fort Cemetery (145 Fort Rd, Schoharie, NY 12157).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marilyn to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092 OR the Schoharie Fire Department, PO Box 428, Schoharie, NY 12157.
