He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton and Evelyn Burton; and his sister Linda Trela. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Burton (McCagg) of Red Hook; and his children, Anne Burton of Albany, Robert Burton Jr. of Shartlesville, PA and James Burton (Maria) of Cobleskill.
