He was predeceased by: his parents, Chandler and Helen; and his siblings, Johnny, Michael and Sarah Potter.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle Thompson (Messier); his son Emmett Jr.; his grandson Dakota Trombley; and his siblings, Steve, Charles, David, Chandler, Laura, Lois and Emmaline. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the Schroon Lake Emergency Squad in Emmetts name.
