He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry W. Mingo and Bernice Knox Mingo; his children, Jeanne, John and Jim; and his sisters, Carol and Henrieta.

He is survived by : his wife Kay; and his grandson Andrew. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
