He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bain and Belle Bain (Rafter); his wife Catherine; his daughter Vicky Hammond; his stepdaughter Betty Hoffman; his grandson Travis Cenate; and his siblings, Pauline, Clifford, Millard, Stanley, Chauncey, Wesley, Sara, Avery, Fred, Frank, Willard, Arthur and Philip.

He is survived by: his children, Beverly Cenate (Pete) of Greenwich, Thomas Bain of Idaho and Donald Bain (Vanessa) of Greenwich; his grandchildren, David Bain (Renee) of Georgia, Keith Cenate (Katrina) of Salem, Tyler Cenate (Corina) of Greenwich, Erica Labarge (David), Frederica Murphy (Sean) of Salem, Alexa Wohlschlegal (Jake) of Idaho, Jordan Hammond of Greenwich and Jaggar Laird of Florida; and his great grandchildren, Maikela Boyce, Kyra Murphy, Payton Bain, Phoenyx Watkins, Avery Bain, Isabel Cenate, Devin Murphy, Hunter Labarge, Thomas Cenate, Hayden Labarge, Taylee Wohlschlegal and Kian Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of one's choice.
