He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Retell and Alice LeClaire Retell; his wife Norma Yetto Retell; and his siblings, Alice Dworak (John) and John Retell.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Retell Jr. (Kimberly), Brandy Retell-MacDonald and Brad Retell; his grandchildren, Dean, Dustin, Cierra, Dylan, Savannah, Justin, Daniel, Rheanna, Hayden, Cameron, Alexis, Faith, Mario and Maverick; his great grandchildren, Kaizier, Elliot, Augustus, Parker and Seraphina; his grandchild Casey Key; his siblings, Kenneth Retell (Jean), Jeanna Bradt (Richard) and Mark Retell (Sharon); his sister-in-law Nancy Retell (late John); and his friend Robert Gaudette (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
