We bid farewell to Dorothy J. Carpenter of Scotia, New York, born in Port Henry, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 1, 2025 at the age of 93. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Carpenter and Maynard Carpenter; her sister Elizabeth Greenough (Lewis Greenough); and her nephew Jeffrey Greenough. She is survived by: her nephew Kevin Greenough (Mary Jo Lynch); and her cousins, Betty Wolf, Harriet Hoffman, Diana Hoffman and Marjorie Horn.
