With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eleanor C. Groetch of Scotia, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeremiah Casey and Mary Slattery Casey; and her in-laws, Wayne and Shirley Strauch. She is survived by: her husband Don; her children, Ellen LaBerge (Rob) of Syracuse, Anne Cary (Bob) of Albany and John (Marion) of Putnam Valley; her grandchildren, Chris (Avery), Steve, Marielle LaBerge, Lauren (Danny Simpson) and Evan Groetch (Tien Tang); her great grandchildren, Julia Casey Simpson and Mia Elizabeth Groetch; her sister Mary Therese Casey; her nephew Bob Strauch (Karen); and her niece Linda Rundles (Jeff).
In lieu of flowers, Eleanor's family asks that you honor her by cherishing your family and friends, treating everyone as you would wish to be treated, opening your home and heart to all, and enjoying the wonders of nature.
