It is with sadness that the passing of Loren H. White of Scotia, New York is shared. Loren, born on July 27, 1930, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva C. White and Galen White; his wife Yvonne; Perry and Martha.
He is survived by: his children, Jacquelyn White (Alan Garman) of Rhinebeck and L. Andrew White (Leslie) of Old Saybrook, CT; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Alina) and Meredith (Aaron); his sister Elizabeth Fiske of Avon, CT; Denny, Nancy Kane and Hart Rockwell (Crickit). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Alplaus United Methodist Church (1 Brookside Pl, Alplaus, NY 12008). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Lutheran Cemetery.
His most treasured accomplishments were his contributions to the SR-71 Blackbird stealth spy plane which could fly undetected over hostile Cold War USSR airspace, and putting mankind into space and on the Moon with the Apollo Missions.
