He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Durant and Hilda Durant (King); his brother Roland Jr.; his nephews, Roland Durant III and Scott Dixon; and his niece Denise Durant.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard K. Durant Jr. (Kate) and Christopher W. Durant (Jill); his sisters, Alice VanDyke and Joanne Dixon (Steve); his grandchildren, Carter, Griffin, Reagan, Cecelia, Emily and Adalyn; his nephew Doug; and his wife Marylou.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home (1 Mohawk Ave, Scotia, NY 12302). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
