She was predeceased by: her husband William; her son David; her parents, Thomas Thornton and Elizabeth Thornton (Quigley); and her siblings, Thomas, Robert and Richard.
She is survived by: her children, William (late MaryAnn), Marie (late Richard), Elizabeth (Timothy), Anne (William), Susan (Daniel) and James (Marcela); her grandchildren, Joseph (Maria Cristina), Kristina, William, Jessica, Brendan (Samantha), Caitlin, Eve and Patrick; her great grandchildren, Liana, Brian, Olivia, Ava and Brody; her sister Mary; and her sister-in-law Margaret Mary.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Maria Regina R. C. Church (3945 Jerusalem Ave, Seaford, NY 11783). A burial was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Long Island National Cemetery (2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
